Leading consultancy firm are actively recruiting for an experienced Azure Data Architect

expertise in designing and implementing data architectures across various domains, including Travel & Hospitality (T&H), Marketing, CRM, and Booking Systems (GDS). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Azure and Microsoft technologies, along with a proven track record in data modelling, future state architecture design, and data capability maturity analysis. This role is pivotal in shaping the data strategy and infrastructure, ensuring that our systems are scalable, efficient, and aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities for the position of Azure Data Architect

• Data Architecture Design & Implementation:
  • Lead the design and implementation of future state data architectures, including data lakehouses, Operational Data Stores (ODS), and Master Data Management (MDM) systems.
  • Develop data models that support both current and future business needs, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Technology Integration:
  • Leverage Azure technologies, including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Data Factory (ADF), EventHub/Kafka/Confluent, and Synapse, to build and optimize data pipelines.
  • Integrate Databricks and Spark for advanced data processing and analytics, ensuring seamless data flow and accessibility.
  • Utilize Dynamics 365 and Power BI for CRM data management and visualization, supporting marketing and customer relationship initiatives.
• Data Governance & Cataloguing:
  • Conduct current state cataloguing of data assets, mapping data across systems to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Implement Microsoft Purview for data governance, ensuring compliance with data policies and standards.
• Data Capability Maturity & Gap Analysis:
  • Perform data capability maturity assessments, identifying gaps in current data infrastructure and processes.
  • Develop strategic plans to address identified gaps, driving improvements in data management practices and infrastructure.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, and business operations, to align data architecture with organizational goals.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Required Skills:

• Domain Expertise:
  • Extensive experience in relevant domains: Travel & Hospitality (T&H), Marketing, CRM, and Booking Systems (GDS).
• Technical Proficiency:
  • Deep knowledge of Azure, including Microsoft Fabric, ADLS, ADF, EventHub/Kafka/Confluent, Synapse, Databricks, and Spark.
  • Strong programming skills in Python for data manipulation and automation.
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 and Power BI for CRM and data visualization.
• Data Architecture & Modeling:
  • Expertise in data modeling and designing future state data architectures (data lakehouse, ODS, MDM).
  • Experience in data cataloguing, data mapping, and conducting data capability maturity and gap analysis.
