Twenty4Seven Education is seeking to appoint an experienced, energetic, enthusiastic and effective Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a thriving 'Good' Ofsted-rated Primary School in Thanet, Kent. This amazing full-time opportunity is to start ASAP on an ongoing basis.
This friendly and inclusive Primary School are looking for someone with the confidence, experience and skills to lead whole-class teaching. As a HLTA, you will work primarily to cover the classes across the school, providing high-quality PPA and Leadership release time cover in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Duties and responsibilities:
* Promote the safety and well-being of pupils, and help to safeguard pupils' well-being by following the requirements of 'Keeping Children Safe in Education' and the school's child protection policy
* Demonstrate positive attitudes, values and behaviours to develop and sustain effective relationships with the school community
* Demonstrate an informed and efficient approach to teaching and learning by adopting relevant strategies to support the work of the teacher and increase the achievement of all pupils including, where appropriate, those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
* Contribute to effective assessment and planning by supporting the monitoring, recording and reporting of pupil performance and progress as appropriate to the level of the role
* Use effective behaviour management strategies consistently in line with the school's policy and procedures
* Direct the work, where relevant, of other adults in supporting learning
* Communicate effectively with other staff members and pupils, and with parents/carers under the direction of the class teacher
* Help keep your knowledge and understanding relevant and up-to-date by reflecting on your own practice, liaising with school leaders, and identifying relevant professional development to improve personal effectiveness
Qualifications & Experience:
* Right to work in the UK
* Satisfactory references covering the last 2 years
* Enhanced DBS Certificate (Child) on the Update Service or willing to pay and apply for a new one (Twenty4Seven Education can assist you with this process)
* CACHE Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is essential
* Higher Level Teacher Assistant qualification is desirable
* Experience working with children within an educational setting or similar (minimum of 3 months of experience)
* Good Literacy, Numeracy and IT skills
