Ascent Recruitment is pleased to support a growing manufacturing business in Rochdale in its search for an Accounts Assistant.
Reporting to an outstanding and supportive Head of Finance, the successful candidate will be responsible for the Accounts Receivable (AR) function and will provide exposure to a broad range of duties across the finance function.
This role presents a real opportunity for career progression and the company also provides study support and actively encourages continuous professional development.
Key Duties:-
- Manage debtors ledger, reconcile customer portals
- Perform credit control, maintain target aged debt
- Identify process improvement opportunities
- Assist in management accounts preparation
- Prepare and post journals in ERP System
- Conduct monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations
- Lead annual fixed asset audit
- Assist with annual stock take and documentation
- Manage leases
- Support annual external audits and other audit needs
- Maintain ERP & systems
- Assist with projects and ad hoc tasks
Key Skills:-
- AAT Qualified/studier, or equivalent, or QBE
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Excellent communication
- Customer and service-oriented
- Strong drive for accuracy
Remuneration/Benefits:-
- £28k - £31k annual salary
- 10% bonus
