A nurturing secondary special school seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teacher to join our team. This role is ideal for a compassionate individual who is committed to enhancing the educational experience of students aged 11-16 years with a range of additional needs.
Day to Day of the Role: - Delivering tailored educational programs that cater to the individual needs of students with moderate learning difficulties, autism, and speech, language, and communication difficulties.
- Supporting students with their personal, communication, and social skills development.
- Creating a positive, safe, and caring classroom environment to help students become happy, confident, and successful learners.
- Celebrating individual achievements, raising self-esteem, and preparing students for their future by building on their strengths.
- Setting high aspirations for students and providing outstanding teaching to prepare them for the next stage of their education.
- Developing students’ independence and empowering them to become responsible young adults with the ambition to be lifelong achievers.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with students with special educational needs, particularly those with moderate learning difficulties, autism, and communication challenges.
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to teaching.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for inclusive education.
