DCT Recruitment are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Site Engineer to join our team in the Shotton Paper Mill Project. Responsibilities:1. Team Management:
• Lead Engineer and Technician teams, manage their activities for installation processes.
• Manage subcontractor teams, providing direction to ensure smooth progress in installation processes.
• Maintain site organization and optimize workflow efficiency throughout the installation process.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure steady workflow and project alignment.
• Collaborate with technical teams to develop solutions for on-site challenges.2. Installation Oversight:
• Supervise the installation of machinery and equipment.
• Supervising the execution of works in accordance with project plans, technical specifications and standards.
• Supervise daily installation operations, follow project plans, and organize necessary employment, equipment, and resources.
• Ensure installation activities align with project specifications, technical standards, within budgets and quality requirements.
• Provide technical expertise to resolve installation-related issues quickly and effectively.3. Quality Improvement:
• To guide regular quality inspections with Quality teams to ensure that installation work meets high-quality standards.
• Identify quality issues on-site, provide feedback to relevant teams, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Plan and track corrective actions in case of project deviations or errors.
• Provide regular updates to engineers and managers, detailing project advancements, encountered issues, and resolution processes.
• Guide Quality teams for document completion of installation activities through inspection reports and testing records for project handover preparation.4. Safety Compliance:
• Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations and standards.5. Problem-Solving:
• Address any issues that arise during installation or operation.
• Collaborate with technical teams to find solutions.6. Documentation:
• Maintain detailed records of installation processes and equipment specifications.
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly reports for management on project status and outcomes.Skills Required
• Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in paper industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of machinery and installation processes.
• Knowledge of safety and quality control standards.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities.
• Problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
• Availability to work Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
