Job Description

* To have responsibility of Key Service accounts in terms of relationship development, and continued sales growth.

* Increase share of wallet and increase spend with existing Key Service Accounts, and cross sell services to include Fire Detection/Suppression/Passive Fire/CCTV/Access Control/Remote Monitoring/Extinguishers and Sprinklers. To develop lifecycle extra works, and Minor Projects.

* To acquire orders and achieve target sales volumes and margins from identified accounts

* You will also be expected to assist with site surveys, asset gathering and new maintenance quotations supporting the Technical Operations Manager and Estimating team in the production of New Maintenance Quotations or Tender Returns for new enquiries into the business.

* To master the value selling approach (incorporating evaluation metrics such as ROI) such that a customer's primary operational and financial objectives are addressed.

* To apply knowledge and understanding of the features, functions and benefits of the Senseco Systems portfolio to offer the best solution to the customer.

* Time & business focus to routinely meet key clients, in conjunction with the Customer Delivery Team to ensure there is not a duplication of visits to ensure maximum efficiency of site meetings. To maintain consistent communication, and client interaction, to build strong relationships.

* To monitor and develop the relationship with Key Account clients and pass any concerns to the Service Delivery Team.

* Predominantly the role will require a split between being office based as a member of the service delivery team, and site based to develop strong relationships with your key account customers.

* There will be a requirement to attend out of hours social events with key clients.

* Complete ownership of the clients account (Site), attending site frequently (monthly/quarterly) and report all maintenance progress throughout the year, faults logs, device testing logs and progress, engineer report sheet data, produce all recommended quotations, assist with lifecycle budget setting, complete client audit/surveys, cross sell all additional services, additional sites where possible. Responsibility for negotiating renewal in advance (no commission on renewal). Work with the clients to agree and produce cause and effects test schedules and liaise with engineering team to ensure correct delivery and reporting in place.

* Develop and maintain close contact with end users/FM contractors to promote our portfolio & solutions

* Report progress on maintenance using report sheets/tick sheets/Nimbus at each meeting and advise of any access issues

* You will lead Your Team as Account Manager and will be supported by a Tech Spec Team Leader (Managing the engineers in your team) and a Customer Service Team Leader (Who will be managing the customer service admin and communication to the clients in your team). As a combined team you will be expected to provide fully compliant life safety maintenance and deliver customer service excellence.

* Review all engineering reports and arrange/produce quotes for any recommended works

* Work with client to produce and negotiate the annual renewal/order

Skills and Competencies:

* FIA (or recognised certified) Training course on Fire Detection & Alarm systems preferrable

* Technologies Fire Detection & Alarm systems, EVCS, PAVA, Gas Suppression Systems

* Methodologies - logical approach to problem solving, organised approach

* Methodologies - good interpersonal skills, telephone manner, etc.

* Methodologies Consultative & value selling

* Professional Knowledge - Presentation / communication skills / negotiation skills

* Professional Knowledge - Estimating / costing / budgeting / financial - commercial tools

* Experience in a range of business situations

* Proven experience in a technical engineering role in the life safety industry
