Accounts Payable Clerk

(Temporary assignment Initially 4 weeks but could be ongoing)

£14.50 Per Hour

Potters Bar - Full time - Monday to Friday

Our client is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk/ Assistant to join their team to support the finance team on an initially temporary basis.

As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you'll play a vital role in accurately recording, monitoring, managing, and reporting all payables assigned to you.

Main Roles & Responsibilities:

• Seeking approval from authorisers for all supplier invoices received
• Processing and recording of such Supplier invoices
• Ensuring re-charges are processed where relevant.
• Resolution of supplier queries.
• Preparation of Supplier payments via BACS.
• Receiving and management of emails.
• Assisting with supplier phone queries.
• Reconciling Supplier accounts to statements.
• You will carry out such other duties as the Company may reasonably assign to you from time to time that are commensurate with your experience and status within the Company.

Experience

• Minimum 1 years of previous accounts payable experience - Essential.
• Excellent verbal, written communication, and organizational skills - Essential.
• Strong account management and customer service experience - Essential.
• Exceptional data entry skills with keen attention to detail - Essential.
• Prior experience with database systems (Netsuite) and proficiency in Microsoft package - Highly Desirable.
• Working towards or qualified in AAT, ACCA, or QBE.
• Approachable with a proactive problem-solving attitude.
