Eventus Legal are seeking a HR Coordinator to join a multi-service, Legal 500 firm in North Wales. This is a permanent position that is available as either a part-time or full-time job. The office is commutable from Conwy, Wirral and Chester with remote working available on a hybrid basis. You will also benefit from additional annual leave and free parking.

Role Responsibilities

The incoming HR Coordinator will be a proactive and key member of the team, providing a professional and comprehensive HR function, supporting the Directors of this well-established law firm. You’ll also be dealing with project work and advising the Directors on internal procedures and policies.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Onboarding: Creating files for new employees; prepare all documents and pre-employment checks; carry out inductions
  • Maintaining and managing all employee files including disciplinary, grievance, flexible working, absence, internal relocations and leavers
  • Conducting HR meetings relating to probation, parental leave, flexible working, absence management, performance management, disciplinary and grievances
  • Supporting the Directors with performance management issues including conducting PIPs where appropriate
  • Ensuring the Employee Handbook is up to date and implementing relevant changes as required
  • Preparing and distributing all relevant HR correspondence
  • Contributing to the development, implementation and delivery of data management and associated processes
  • Providing data and reports for SLT
  • Developing and delivering EDI training
  • Managing processes for all leavers including responding to and completing reference requests
  • Dealing with Occupational Health and GP report referrals
  • Assisting with recruitment
  • Providing support to Payroll

Person Specification

We are seeking applications from experienced HR Coordinators with a strong background in generalist HR functions. The ideal candidate will hold a Level 5 CIPD qualification (or equivalent) or is currently working towards achieving this certification. You will be also able to demonstrate the following:

  • Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Organised and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Trustworthy and discreet approach to maintain discretion when it comes to confidential matters
