Then reach out! Kingston Barnes is currently recruiting for a Production Manager working with one of our clients in the Stonehouse are.

About the Role:

Our client is seeking a dynamic Production Manager to lead their Machine Shop and Production Engineering teams. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Managing a team of 45 (direct and indirect reports), this leadership role will see you driving process improvements, optimizing resources, and mentoring a skilled workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee day-to-day operations of the Machine Shop & Production Engineering departments.

* Lead, support, and develop a team of supervisors, machinists, and production staff.

* Ensure production targets are met while maintaining safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency.

* Collaborate with planning, purchasing, and quality teams to meet customer deadlines.

* Monitor machine utilization and production performance, providing regular reports to senior management.

* Manage HR aspects, including training, performance reviews, and workforce planning.

About you:

* Proven experience in CNC machine shop management, including milling, turning, and cutting processes.

* Management experience within precision engineering environment

* Strong leadership skills with experience managing large teams and team leaders

* Technical expertise in manufacturing methods, materials management, and production planning.

* Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

* Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication skills.
