Salary: £45000 - £55000/annum

Staff 86 | 86 Group are working with a well-established construction solutions business based in Leeds. With a brilliant reputation, and a growing annual turnover, they are looking to welcome a new Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

* Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

* Salary: Up to £55k DOE plus a generous car allowance!

* Location: Leeds / Hybrid working.

* Working Hours: Usual hours are 7:30am to 4pm (flexible).

Overview of the role:

* Ensure estimates are reviewed and correct prior to entering a contract.

* Reviewing contracts to minimise risk.

* Attend client pre-construction meetings and following with working with the pre-construction procurement teams to ensure internal handover.

* Ensure Sub-Contract, Sub-Consultants and goods are procured in line with the scope of works and at the best rates within the cost allowances.

* Identify project Risk & Opportunities and prepare schedules prior to commencement on site.

* Tender package reviews and reviewing costs within a bespoke Estimating software system.

* Assisting our Estimators in producing bid submissions.

* Manage Valuation & Invoicing for the Facade Department, working with the to Finance Department monthly.

* Work with Finance Department and update accordingly on commercial matters (i.e. Payment Terms, Cashflow Forecasts, Job Cost Positions).

* Assist with the implementation of KPI's and business goals.

Required skills and experience:

* A relevant QS degree or similar is highly desirable.

* Ideally several years of experience within a Quantity Surveyor role, a bonus would be working in the facades / cladding / construction industry.

* Remediation Schemes knowledge and experience would be desirable.

* Knowledge of building contracts such as JCT. NEC3 would be highly desirable.

* An analytical thinker who can analyse and understand numbers to determine Risks & Opportunities.

* A clear communicator who can communicate clearly to different teams across the business.

* IT literate with excellent skills and knowledge of Excel, Word & PowerPoint - essential
