We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to oversee our client's financial operations and provide strategic guidance to their finance team. The Finance Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the financial reporting, managing day-to-day financial activities, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organisation.

Description of the role:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including supporting reconciliations.
  • Review control accounts reconciliations on a rolling basis to facilitate year-end accounting, including profit and loss analysis.
  • Oversee bank reconciliations.
  • Monitor and authorise the completion and production of sales and purchase ledger transactions.
  • Assist in preparing year-end accounts and provide support during annual audits to ensure timely and effective completion.
  • Authorise bank payments and overheads.
  • Manage day-to-day cash flow.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process.
  • Submit monthly/quarterly returns to HMRC.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to the management team.
  • Conduct monthly 1-2-1 meetings and annual Performance Development Reviews with the team to support their development and identify areas for improvement.
  • Identify and report any identified risks to Senior Management in a timely manner.
  • Negotiate company insurance.

About you:

  • AAT/ACCA/CIMA qualification or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Access Dimensions software would be advantageous.
  • Experience in managing an accounts team or department.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with payroll processes.
  • Experienced in daily, weekly, monthly, and annual accounting procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
