Job Description:

A well-respected consultancy in the civil engineering field is currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their team in Bristol. Key Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee structural engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with all engineering standards and regulations.

Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop practical design solutions.

Perform structural analysis and design calculations using relevant software tools.

Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and project documentation.

Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices.

Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and address any issues that may arise.

Oversee project budgets and timelines, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within scope.

Maintain effective communication with clients and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.

Chartered status (CEng) with a relevant professional institution is preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably within the construction industry.

Proficient in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, TEKLA, or similar programs.

Strong understanding of building codes, design standards, and construction methods.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
