Senior HR Advisor - Contract Type: 6-month temporary

Oldham Council are seeking a Senior HR Advisor to join their team on an initial 6-month temporary contract. In this role, you will act as the first point of contact for Managers, providing professional advice and support on a range of HR enquiries.
Day-to-day of the role: - Serve as the first point of contact for HR enquiries, offering first-line advice and support.
- Manage a professional caseload efficiently, ensuring work is organised, prioritised, and delivered.
- Advise on the implementation of various policies, including attendance improvement, grievance resolution, capability and performance management, disciplinary matters, recruitment and retention, and change management.
- Log and record casework outcomes for service evaluation and improvement.
- Offer professional advice to HR colleagues on casework such as disciplinary, capability, grievance, redundancy, and medical incapacity.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Demonstrable experience in an HR advisory role.
- Experience of guiding managers through the TUPE transfer process.
- Good working knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Experience working in a Trade Union environment on employee relations issues.
