We are seeking a highly organised Production Planner with a strong mechanical engineering background to join their team and play a pivotal role in streamlining their production and maintenance operations.

The Role

As a Production Planner, you'll ensure efficient scheduling, resource allocation, and execution of maintenance and production tasks within a highly regulated aviation environment. Your role will be critical in maintaining operational excellence, ensuring projects are delivered on time while meeting strict industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, coordinate, and manage detailed production and maintenance schedules for aircraft operations.
Work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure optimal allocation of manpower, tooling, and materials.
Monitor production progress, address delays, and implement solutions to maintain adherence to schedules.
Ensure compliance with EASA Part 145 regulations and other industry standards across all planning activities.
Liaise with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of components and materials required for maintenance activities.
Identify workflow bottlenecks and propose solutions to improve overall efficiency and productivity.
Maintain detailed production and planning records to meet regulatory and organisational requirements.
Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing production processes and minimising downtime. 

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a driven and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in production planning, ideally within the aviation or manufacturing sectors.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines.
Proven experience in production or maintenance planning in a regulated environment, with preference for aviation (EASA Part 145) experience.
Solid understanding of mechanical systems, workflows, and resource management.
Proficiency in using planning and scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, ERP/MRP systems, or similar software.
Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.Desirable:

Experience in MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) environments.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards relevant to the aviation industry.
