Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

We are looking for an Undergraduate Administrator for our prestigious client, a University in Central London. This role is a 3 month temporary contractor to cover a busy period. The role involves collaborating with other Undergraduate Administrators to deliver a high-quality and efficient service to both academic staff and undergraduate students, supporting all activities within the Undergraduate Office. The postholder will be expected to work as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility in their approach to tasks, prioritising effectively, and ensuring deadlines are met.

Due to the nature of the role, hybrid working is not an option.

  • Coordinate and assist with the daily operations of the undergraduate office and broader teaching team, including general and event administration, as well as purchasing necessary items and office supplies.
  • Manage Casual & Temporary Workers, liaising with relevant teams, and running departmental training and improvement discussions.
  • Serve as Secretary to committees and working groups as needed.
  • Support the administration of coursework submission processes.
  • Provide assistance with exam activities, including recruiting and training invigilators and ensuring exam scripts are coordinated and marked within departmental deadlines.
  • Act as the first point of contact for staff, students, and other internal and external visitors and callers to the Undergraduate Office.
  • Maintain student notice boards and displays throughout departmental spaces.
  • Foster a positive and supportive working environment and respond to staff and student needs.
  • Record and maintain accurate student records, activities, and course information.
  • Perform tasks as assigned by the Teaching Operations Manager.
  • Attend and/or organize relevant meetings.
  • Adhere to confidentiality, data protection, and GDPR guidelines.
  • Undertake necessary training and development as required.

Key skills:

  • Administrative experience in a fast paced/busy office environment
  • Understanding of data/document security
  • Good organisation skills
