Join Our Team as an HGV Class 2 Driver.

We are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver on behalf of our client. This role offers a competitive salary of £32,868 per annum, plus a monthly bonus structure. If you're a dedicated driver with a commitment to safety and customer service, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

About the Role:

Our client is looking for a reliable HGV Class 2 Driver to perform specified deliveries, following established procedures for their distribution fleet. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established team and contribute to their ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete all assigned deliveries daily.
• Ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and the load is secure before leaving the site.
• Correctly complete all paperwork for each delivery in line with company procedures and delivery note instructions.
• Handle all collected payments in accordance with company procedures.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring high levels of customer service.
• Cash in all payments at the end of each day, following company guidelines.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations, vehicle security protocols, and Ministry of Transport Operators license requirements.
• Keep the vehicle clean to meet company audit standards.
• Report any vehicle defects or concerns to the Operations Manager immediately.
• Communicate any customer-related queries or issues to the Operations Manager.
• Assist in the warehouse with picking and loading goods as needed, within contracted hours.
• Perform any other general duties required by the role.

Requirements:

• A full and valid Category C driving licence.
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence; no DR, DD, or IN convictions.
• Physical ability to lift and carry goods and move freely in and out of the vehicle.
• Must have your own transportation to commute to and from work.
