Stonegate Farmers have an opportunity for a Goods In Deputy Manager to join our Packing Centre based in Lacock, Wiltshire. As Goods In Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the smooth running of the packaging warehouse operations and asset management, ensuring that the business needs and targets are met on a daily basis. This includes ensuring all goods in are accounted for and undamaged. This role further includes all reporting, investigating discrepancies and non-conformity issues as well as having a clear understanding of safety and security procedures.

Role & Responsibilities:

* Support the Goods In Manager in ensuring efficient management of the packaging department.

* Deputising for Goods In Manager in their absence

* Manage all goods inwards activities and processes

* Loading and transporting of materials/ packaging / goods in across required departments

* Logistical management of assets such as pallets, shippers and crates

* Ensuring upkeep of departmental FLT's and EPT's, raising servicing and engineering issues as required

* Ordering correct PPE and issuing this to relevant employees

* Co-ordination of deliveries - booking in with hauliers and recording delivery slots through correct processes

* Act as point of call for delivery drivers at Goods In

* Responsibility for goods in stores areas, ensuring that Health and Safety policies are adhered at all times

* Maintain acceptable housekeeping standards, ensuring a clean and safe working environment

* Daily management of our in house stock management system (JDE) which includes: delivery updates, sporadic pricing updates, daily raising, amending, receipting and closing of orders and creation of new items such as artwork updates, new suppliers, lead time changes etc

* Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally

* Play an active role in continuous improvement of departmental processes

Qualifications / Experience:

* Previous experience working within a fast-paced warehouse environment

* Working knowledge of supply chain practices including: placing orders, monitoring stock levels and receipting deliveries

* Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting

* Previous experience working within a Food Manufacturing environment and protocols & policies associated with this (desirable)
