Quality Assistant / Permanent / Norwich- salary up to £28K per annum

Position 1 Recruitment are looking for Quality Assistant to join our client, manufacturing site based in Norwich. Our client is a reputable producer of a bespoke product, due to the ongoing growth, they are looking for an experienced Quality Assistant to join their friendly team.

The Quality Assistant will be responsible for supporting the efficient operation of all functions related to Quality: Overseeing daily administrative functions, conducting certain Quality Checks, Quality Observations and assisting with Quality Investigations.
This role involves supporting with internal and external audits, liaising with customers, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
The Quality Assistant will assist in communication and coordination between all departments within the Plant and the wider company and acts as a role model for high Quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

* To ensure you team member always discharge your Health and safety duty of care to yourself and others and to report any accidents/near misses via the Capptions system

* Assist the Quality Manager to be the internal face of Quality; driving a culture of 'Right First Time', proactively identifying areas of improvement in which to propose (and personally deliver) projects.

* Administration of the Quality Management System and Data.

* Maintain HFI log. Proactively highlighting issues i.e. breaches of HFI target with the relevant Department Manager as necessary. Also ensuring 5Why and SD completion as part of the full process.

* Liaise with all personnel to ensure Standard Operating Procedures and systems are being adhered to and evidenced in readiness for timely audits.

* Monitor items requiring external calibration and raise requisitions for service contracts.

* Undertake internal audits of the system to ensure compliance to ISO 9001, 14001, 50001, and ISO 45001.

* Conduct certain daily Quality Checks - Such as Lab based checks as required.

The Quality Assistant will have previous experience of Manufacturing Quality process, with experience in internal Auditing.
Experience using SAP would be advantageous, strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work and collaborate with cross functional teams, as well as work to set timescales and delivery targets.

This is a permanent- full time position, 40 hrs per week Monday to Friday.
