QHSE Technician
9-Month Contract (Potential for Extension)

I am seeking a proactive and dedicated QHSE Technician to join a friendly team on a 9-month fixed-term contract, initially covering maternity leave. There is potential for the role to evolve with possibilities for a 3-month extension and/or to a full-time position going forward.

As a QSHE Technician, you will primarily support the QHSE Manager, assisting with various quality and compliance responsibilities, including root cause analysis, non-conformance management, and supplier quality. This role is designed for someone with a proactive attitude who can influence and drive change within a tight-knit team. Initially, the QSHE Technician position will focus heavily on quality assurance—around 80-90% of the workload—before expanding to include health and safety responsibilities over time if the role becomes permanent.

Key Responsibilities as a QSHE Technician

* Maintain ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.

* Monitor internal fault reports, supplier non-conformance, and customer complaints.

* Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.

* Assist with onboarding and pre-qualification of new suppliers.

* Work closely with project managers to ensure compliance with the quality programme.

* Ensure equipment calibration, maintain registers, and monitor performance.

* Build and maintain effective relationships across departments to ensure training and competency standards are met.

The role demands someone with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. Experience in quality management within an engineering or manufacturing environment is preferred, but we are open to candidates looking to transition from quality inspection roles, provided they have a proactive mindset and desire for growth.
