Thrive Trowbridge are delighted to be working with our client in the Calne area who are actively looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.

What you will be doing:

• Designing a range of hydraulic systems, lifting equipment and machinery components using Autodesk Inventor
• Engineering calculations to ensure designs meet performance standards
• Creation of detailed technical information including CAD drawings, specifications and technical files
• Prototype testing and analysis and support during the manufacturing process, working with a number of internal departments

What you will need to succeed:

• Experience within a heavy engineering environment
• Previous hydraulics design experience (or a good understanding of)
• Excellent IT skills including CAD and Autodesk Inventor
• A good eye for detail and the ability to solve problems
• Experience of using or creating technical files
• Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
• Excellent communication skills as you will be dealing with a variety of individuals
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
