Purpose of the role
To receive orders from customers by telephone and to enter accurately onto Sap. Act as a focal point of contact with the customer by telephone ensuring their needs are met successfully.
Key Accountabilities
Accurately take/amend customer orders.
Actively promote use of articulated wagons where site conditions permit.
Maintain and update accurate dispatch comments as required.
Actively promote design mixes with customers subject to compliance with customer standards.
Manage customer complaints, referring to a third party where appropriate.
Negotiate delivery times to the mutual benefit of the customer and the company.
Order Centre reports as required.
Maintain a professional demeanour at all times.
Qualifications
Skills and knowledge
Good working knowledge of production processes and limitations.
Product knowledge, asphalt & drystone.
IT Literate - Word, Excel and in-house systems.
Verbal & written communication skills.
