We are currently working with a One-form Primary School is located in Orpington. It's unique location provides extensive environment and opportunities for outdoor learning. A key strength of the school is its staff, who are committed to the task of ensuring each child pupil succeeds and is preparing for the challenges that lie ahead in life. Our client is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic full time Teaching Assistant to be part of their dedicated team and support their children.

This school provides a caring and stimulating learning environment, enabling all their children to thrive, learn and enjoy their time at school.

All classes are on the ground floor with one large hall in the middle. There is separate playground for KS1 and KS2 with a large field that is used for different sports and learning and has potential for further development to provide an even richer curriculum.

The successful candidate will be responsible, under the direction of the Head Teacher or other nominated member of staff, either individually or as part of a team for supervision and learning support for pupils on both a one to one as well as small groups basis. The successful candidate will also provide general support to their teaching staff by assisting with classroom organisation, practical preparation for lessons or assessments as directed by the class teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

* Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons for who you are responsible and with whom you come into contact.

* Supporting pupils using specialist skills to enhance learning, with consistent recognition of individual needs.

* Building positive relationships with pupils, acting as a role model, setting high expectations, and encouraging cooperation and independence.

* Supervising pupils, including those with additional needs, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence through engagement in teacher-led activities.

* Promoting good behaviour, managing conflicts promptly, and encouraging pupils to take responsibility for their actions.

* Collaborating with teachers in lesson planning, creating a positive learning environment, and adjusting learning activities to meet pupil needs.

* Monitoring and evaluating pupil progress through observation, recording achievement, and providing accurate feedback to teachers.

* Maintaining records and marking pupil work, contributing to system reviews and reporting on achievement.

* Implementing learning activities, supporting literacy, numeracy, and IT skills development.

* Supporting inclusion by ensuring equal access to learning opportunities, following policies on child protection, health, safety, and confidentiality.

* Participating in school activities, including trips, meetings, and ongoing professional development.

The Ideal Candidate - Qualifications & Experience:

* Good standard of education - GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.

* Experience of delivering whole class teaching.

* A holistic approach to the well-being and education of pupils

* The ability to challenge and engage children in their learning through creative opportunities, with high levels of expectations of all learners

* Ability to think creatively to deliver learning, to fulfil the school's vision

* Effective communicator

* Motivation to work with children and young people

* Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people
