Financial Controller / Liverpool City Centre (hybrid) / Salary £68,000 plus a range of other great benefits.

We are excited to present an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned Financial Controller to join a leading and well-established organisation in Liverpool.

In this role, you will report directly to a highly experienced Head of Finance and take charge of managing the finance team for your division. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping business strategy and supporting ongoing transformation projects, ensuring that financial controls and processes are strong, while driving efficiency and excellence across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee daily financial operations, managing the finance team to ensure robust financial controls and processes.
  • Oversee budget preparation and forecasting for your division.
  • Inspire, motivate, and manage a talented finance team.
  • Provide critical business partnering and commercial insights, supporting strategic decision-making across the organisation.
  • Ensure accurate monthly management accounts and contribute as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Actively participate in planning and decision-making, offering strong financial advice and challenging others where necessary.
  • Support the development of business strategy.
  • Lead 5-year business planning in collaboration with the Group Financial Planning team.
  • Prepare financial KPIs and scorecards.
  • Assist with statutory accounts and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Support the development and implementation of financial systems.

Key Skills:

  • Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Proven experience in managing a finance team.
  • Demonstrated experience in a commercial environment, providing decision-making support, and being actively involved in strategic planning.
  • Strong business partnering skills with the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders.
