Teaching Assistant - Mainstream

£425 - £500 per week

Age group: Secondary

Working hours: Monday to Friday (8:00 - 3:00)

Start date: Immediate

Value Education are working with a Mainstream Secondary School in the Wigan area that are looking for a confident Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long term basis.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and be committed to helping each child in the most effective way depending on the individual needs.

Teaching Assistant duties:

Assisting the Class Teacher in preparing work for the lesson ahead
Ensuring the classroom is a tidy and safe environment for the children
Assisting with group activities
Working with children on a 1:1 and group basis

Teaching Assistant requirements:

Previous experience working with children
Teaching Assistant level 2 qualification is beneficial but not essential
Confident in communicating with parents, pupils and members of staff
Be able to handle difficult situations efficiently
Be inspired to help students learn in new and exciting ways
Able to commute to Wigan
