Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team at Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Trust. In this role, you will make a significant impact by supporting patients through holistic, person-centred assessments and tailored therapeutic interventions that meet their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver individualized therapeutic interventions.
  • Utilize your expertise in CMHF to assess and address clients' occupational and functional needs.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure best practice in Mental Health and Occupational Therapy.
  • Support and mentor junior staff, including Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants.
  • Supervise and guide Occupational Therapy students during their placements.
Key Requirements
  • HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience in mental health and knowledge of the Community Mental Health Framework (CMHF).
  • Strong clinical assessment and therapeutic intervention skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with service users, families, and carers.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Experience in supervising junior staff and supporting students during placements.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
