We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Social Workers to join our Child in Need and Child Protection Service in Macclesfield. You will be working with a team that manages cases from the initial referral stage all the way through to care proceedings, covering duty and assessment, Child in Need, Child Protection, pre-proceedings, and private law cases. This role requires someone vibrant who can work the core hours of 08:30 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, as condensed hours are not offered. The expectation is for the workers to be in the office a minimum of 3 days a week—are you ready for the challenge?

What you will do:
- Manage a caseload of Child in Need and Child Protection cases, ensuring all legal and statutory requirements are fulfilled.
- Assess the needs of children and families, implementing child-centred plans that promote welfare and development.
- Work collaboratively with families, professionals, and community resources to safeguard and meet the needs of children.
- Prepare for and attend court proceedings, providing detailed reports and updates on cases as required.
- Maintain high-quality records and documentation in line with organisational policies and statutory requirements.

We are seeking Social Workers who have ample experience working within children's safeguarding teams and can confidently handle the challenges and rewards that come with protecting our most vulnerable.
