The Opportunity:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Control Room Shift Engineer to join our dynamic team in Farnborough. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional with a background in control room operations who is looking to work in a fast-paced, high-tech environment. You will be responsible for overseeing critical systems, ensuring that everything operates smoothly and efficiently, and responding to any technical issues in real-time.

Responsibilities:

* Monitoring and maintaining the performance of control room systems and critical equipment.

* Responding quickly and efficiently to any alarms or technical faults.

* Performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical and mechanical systems.

* Diagnosing and troubleshooting system malfunctions and carrying out repairs when necessary.

* Maintaining accurate logs and records of all shift activities and system performance.

* Ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.

* Collaborating with other engineers and teams to ensure seamless operations.

* Participating in system upgrades and installations as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

* Proven experience as a Shift Engineer, ideally in a control room or critical environment.

* Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.

* Relevant engineering qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).

* Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

* Ability to work under pressure and handle technical issues in a timely manner.

* Strong communication and teamwork skills.

* Familiarity with health and safety standards in a technical environment.

* Willingness to work on a shift pattern.

* HAve watch-keeping experience.
