Salary: £600 - £750 per day

Equifind have teamed up with an established financial services firm, who are looking to add a CASS professional to the team, to cover for the next 12 months.

The business has been a brand name for years in the investment banking space and they have a great working culture. It’s highly professional and collaborative.

Key duties and responsibilities for this CASS Officer position include:

  • Maintenance of CASS risk register, including associated procedures
  • Timely and accurate CASS reporting; including CMAR
  • Timely and accurate completion of required daily and periodic CASS internal, external, and physical reconciliations
  • Preparation of the daily client money shortfall calculations
  • Maintenance of reporting timetable and reporting of compliance with submissions
  • Timely escalation of CASS or related matters or issues to senior management
  • Timely resolution of CASS related matters
  • Ensure adherence to CASS rules and regulations, as outlined by the Bank of England (PRA), Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) or other relevant regulatory bodies
  • Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to ensure compliance with CASS requirements
  • Regularly review and update existing CASS policies and procedures, incorporating any regulatory changes or best practices
  • Lead on CASS audit, liaising directly with the Firm’s auditors and Head Office to provide all relevant information and explanations
  • Perform daily, monthly, and periodic reconciliations of client money and assets held by the business, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Provide guidance to the wider business teams, to enhance their understanding of CASS rules and requirements
  • Preparation of CASS Committee MI pack and minutes of meeting
  • General and ongoing enhancement and development of regulatory related controls, processes, and procedures

Experience & Qualifications

  • Strong CASS technical knowledge and experience in a SME environment
  • Being a qualified accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA would be beneficial
  • Ideally over 8 years of CASS experience
  • Significant experience of developing and leading regulatory / CASS controls and processes
  • Detailed knowledge of CASS rules and regulations
  • Experience in a CASS-specific role within financial services ideally investment banking
  • Have a proactive approach to your work
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and an interest in educating team members

With multiple offices across the Europe and America, you will be joining a business that is still expanding and looking to evolve.

You will take on all the CASS and client money duties for the London office, and be the go to person in this area. The team will lean on your experience.

Salary/Rates

This exciting opportunity for a CASS Officer will ideally start within the next couple of months and has scope to be made permanent, if proves a success.

Ideally, no more than 4 weeks’ notice.

We will be looking at candidates who like a day-rate of £600-£750 per day.

This is based in the office 4 days per week, with Friday being a WFH designated day.
