Location: Birmingham/Hybrid with 2 days per week in the office.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our rent and service charge team. At citizen we manage over 30000 homes, of all different tenures and tenancy types, our team are responsible for setting the charges for these homes. This includes setting charges accurately in line with agreement types as well as ensuring maximum cost recovery.

In housing you can make a real difference, the role of Rent & Service Charge Officer will involve:

  • To produce accurate rent and service charge statements in line with the business’ rent setting procedures
  • Be alert to opportunities to improve procedures and paperwork to simplify/streamline existing procedures
  • Review costs for new up and coming developments and scope the service charges
  • Investigate and resolve customer enquiries relating to rent and service charge statements

As Rent & Service Charge Officer we need you to have:

  • Ability to communicate with both internal and external customers and resolve their problems.
  • Intermediate level working of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to communicate financial information to non-finance staff in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines.
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Be able to prioritise.
