Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive School Financial Advisor to join our team, providing essential financial and administrative management services directly on-site at schools. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate maintenance, control, and monitoring of financial records for multiple schools and colleges. Your work will be critical in ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and the Local Management of Schools Scheme of Delegation.

Key Responsibilities:

As a School Financial Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in planning, preparing, and evaluating annual school budgets. This involves analyzing income and expenditure projections in line with the school's development plans and preparing long-term budget forecasts of up to five years. Your expertise will be crucial in producing detailed monthly financial reports, tracking budgets, and providing valuable insights to budget managers, headteachers, principals, and governors. Your ability to translate complex financial data into understandable reports and advice will be essential.

In addition to these core responsibilities, you will collaborate with various school-based staff and integrate seamlessly into the School Financial Advisor Team. Your role will require you to attend meetings and offer expert advice to governing bodies, ensuring that financial decisions are well-informed and align with regulatory requirements.

Special Considerations:

This position may involve working outside of standard hours and requires attendance at training courses, conferences, and seminars as necessary for your professional development and the needs of the service. The role is subject to an Enhanced level check by the Criminal Records Bureau. Additionally, a probationary period may be extended to six months based on performance during school-based assignments.
