Job Advertisement: Client Accountant - £40,000 + Bonus - City of London (Hybrid Working)

Cobalt is working with a prestigious property management company based in the heart of the City of London, who are looking for a skilled Client Accountant to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with strong accounting experience, especially in property management, to contribute to the financial success of a leading firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring accurate financial reporting and timely invoicing
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts for property portfolios
• Reconcile bank statements, control accounts, and balance sheet items
• Ensure VAT returns are accurate and submitted on time
• Liaise with clients, tenants, and internal teams to resolve any financial queries
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes for client properties
• Support audits and provide relevant financial information
• Review and approve payments, ensuring compliance with company policies

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience in client accounting, preferably within property management or a similar sector
• Must have experience with service charge accounting
• Strong understanding of property-related accounting principles
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, Qube, etc.) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Professional, positive attitude with a focus on delivering excellent client service
