Our client are a bespoke sub-contract and supply only specialist joinery contractors who manufacture and install all aspects of bespoke joinery and associated trades. They are currently recruiting for a CNC Operative to join their dedicated team in Battle, East Sussex.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of CNC Operating, have basic knowledge of PC programmes, be able to work independently, have a good attention to detail and experience of operating 5 AXIS CNC, Vertical CNC, Beam Saw as well as other joinery mill machinery.
As a CNC Operative you will be responsible for producing processed panels to CNC manufacturing instructions and download programme. You will liaise with the CNC manager and works staff to manufacture components to required priorities and maintain continuous throughput on CNC machine where possible.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:
- Demonstrable experience of CNC Operating
- Basic knowledge of PC programmes
- Ability to work without immediate and continuous direction
- Have a good attention to detail
- Experience with a range of joinery mill machinery (5 AXIS CNC, Vertical CNC, Beam Saw) would be an advantage
Your duties as a CNC Operative would be:
- Inspecting materials before use and use experience to determine if they are likely suitable for the task in hand
- Ensuring all panels are marked up with the COC colour and once job is complete, strapped with paperwork to troller
- Completing quality control records
- Raising NCR’s through the works NCR system so that improvements can be sorted
- Changing blades and cutters as required
- Checking all ironmongery and panel sizes once machined
- Checking compressor daily and empty tank
- Following managers and supervisors instructions
- Following procedures relating to chain of custody
- Unloading and load delivery vehicles including fork truck and banks man operation
- Keeping safe routes (yellow and red) clear to keep others away from your workstation
- Minimising waste and maximise productivity
- Respecting and assisting colleagues
- Raising any issues immediately with line manager if any concerns relating to QHSE, or another line manager or director if your line manager is unavailable
Salary:
£15 per hour depending on experience
Hours:
- Monday – Thursday, 7.30am – 5pm
- Friday, 7.30am – 12.30pm
- 41.5 hours per week
- Temp to Perm
