About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Worker with expertise in TIG welding to join our team at Heathrow Airport. The role involves working predominantly on airport land vehicles, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of safety and functionality. This is a critical position, contributing to the maintenance and repair of essential vehicles that keep airport operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform TIG welding on various types of metal, including aluminum, stainless steel, and other alloys, ensuring high-quality welds.

* Fabricate, repair, and maintain sheet metal components for airport land vehicles.

* Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the requirements for each job.

* Ensure all work is completed to the required safety standards and within the set timeframes.

* Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.

* Perform routine inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and carry out preventative maintenance.

* Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker with strong TIG welding skills.

* Competency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.

* Experience working with various metals, particularly aluminum and stainless steel.

* Prior experience in an industrial or transportation environment is highly desirable.

* Familiarity with airport operations or land vehicle maintenance is a plus.

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
