We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Needs Assistant to join our team at a special educational needs school in Leeds. This role is crucial in supporting children and young people aged 2-19 with a range of severe and complex needs, including physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and cognitive challenges. The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving the outcomes and life chances of our students, providing the highest level of care and education.
Day to Day of the Role: - Work under the direct instruction of the Lead Educarer.
- Attend to the pupils’ personal and intimate care needs, including feeding, social, health, physical, hygiene, toileting, behaviour, communication, and interaction as required.
- Ensure the cleanliness and readiness of changing areas and learning spaces.
- Maintain the general tidiness of specific changing areas.
- Support the delivery of a bespoke curriculum, tailored to individual student needs.
