SEN Early Years Teaching Assistant

Location - Wandsworth

Contract: Full-time, Long-term

Are you a looking for a new rewarding SEN Teaching Assistant role, supporting early years students in a vibrant SEN School? This could be your dream job!

We are currently recruiting for an exceptional SEN School in Wandsworth, who cater to students aged 3-19 with a variety of Special Educational Needs including ASD, PMLD, VI/HI and complex needs.

The School are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant with a CACHE Level 2 qualification to support their early years' pupils. You will play a crucial role in assisting the class teacher in supporting individual learning needs, and creating a positive, stimulating learning environment for students.

This is a full-time, long term role to start in September 2024 and will be with a view to going permanent. The hours are from 8.30am-4pm, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons.
Provide one-on-one and small group support to children with varying needs.
Assist with classroom management and organisation.
Support pupils' personal, social, and emotional development.
Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
Participate in school events, outings, and activities as required.

Requirements:

CACHE Level 2 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
Experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably with SEN.
A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
