Salary: £15 - £16/hour

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Technical Administrator to join Barnsley Council's Highways Team on an initial 6 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Duties:

* Serving notices and permits in accordance with relevant legislation and updating the systems with this information

* Responding to and resolving queries and reports of emergencies/dangerous defects

* Liaising with external bodies such as Police and Fire Service regarding incidents on the highway

* Undertaking financial administration including placing purchase orders, receipting goods, invoicing, crediting, and calculating costs

* Setting up new contracts and ensuring they are maintained and renewed

* Ordering internal and external training for members of the operational workforce

* Dealing with incoming enquiries, complaints, and requests from a variety of sources

Requirements:

* Experience of working in an Operational Depot or technical environment

* Experience of using and maintaining computerised systems

* Experience of using SAP or other financial database systems

* High level of customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
