We are pleased to be supporting our client, a worldwide leader in the construction industry, in their search to secure an experienced a Utilities Technical Lead (Utilities Engineer) to play an essential role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of utility systems, which include water, gas, electric, and sewage services.

You will join a Tier 1 leading civil & infrastructure specialist with 70 years' experience, focused on planning, developing and executing some of the largest and most reputable infrastructure projects in the UK.

This position involves a blend of fieldwork and office-based tasks, focusing on the design, analysis, and oversight of projects that maintain and improve/enhance/alter utility infrastructure. By collaborating with various stakeholders, including government bodies, contractors, and the public, the Utilities Technical Lead / Utility Engineer ensures that utility services meet current contract requirements technical.

Utility Technical Lead / Utility Engineer duties:

* Design and oversee the construction of utilities supply systems as infrastructure projects to ensure they meet regulatory standards and stakeholder needs.

* There may a need to perform hydraulic modelling and analysis to determine the performance of existing utility systems.

* Understand the maintenance schedules applied to utility equipment and infrastructure to ensure works align reliability of service and compliance with safety standards.

* Coordinate with local stakeholders to meet environmental regulations and ensure infrastructure projects align with public policy and community plans.

* Prepare detailed project reports and presentations for stakeholders, which may include cost estimates, phasing. Design, project timelines, and the impact of utility projects on the local community and environment.

* Evaluate any new technologies and methods for utility system improvement, including renewable energy integration, water reclamation, and smart grid applications.
