Salary: £90 - £150/day

We are working with a high-achieving, all-through alternative provision catering to students from Primary, KS3, KS4, and Post-16 levels. Thry pride themselves on beimg a school which supports some of the borough's most vulnerable and at-risk students, many of whom have complex behavioural and SEND needs.

We are seeking an experienced Child Protection & Wellbeing Support Officer to work at their KS4/KS5 Centre. The role will support the safeguarding of our students by working closely with the Child Protection Coordinator and Social Worker.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Attendance & Punctuality Support: Monitor and improve daily student attendance and punctuality by liaising with parents/carers and removing barriers to school attendance.

2. Student Advocacy: Support students with behaviour, wellbeing, and learning both in and out of school, helping to improve their academic and social progress.

3. Safeguarding Support: Assist the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), Child Protection Coordinator, Social Worker, and SENDCO in daily safeguarding activities, ensuring concerns are promptly addressed.

4. Multi-agency Collaboration: Work with external agencies to ensure the safeguarding and protection of some of Tower Hamlets' most challenging and hard-to-reach children.

5. Inclusion & SEND Support: Provide day-to-day management of students with additional learning needs, social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, in collaboration with the Senior Leader responsible for Inclusion and Sixth Form groups.

Requirements:

· Proven experience working with vulnerable and hard-to-reach children.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· A track record of delivering positive outcomes for students with complex behavioural and SEND needs.

· Commitment to LEAP's aims, values, and ethos.
