Payroll Manager | £30,000 | Preston | Great team and working cultureAxon Moore is pleased to be working in partnership with a highly valued, PE-backed company as they recruit for a Payroll Manager on a full or part-time (min. 28 hours), permanent basis. They are looking for someone highly experienced to take ownership in this area.Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will oversee and action all aspects of payroll processes within the organisation. You will be a critical player in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and providing support to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries.Key Responsibilities and Duties:
• Supervise and manage the entire process, including the calculation of wages, overtime, and deductions.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll to meet designated deadlines.
• Ensure the accuracy and security of payroll data and confidential employee information.
• Prepare and submit payroll taxes, ensuring compliance with all tax regulations. Coordinate with relevant authorities and external agencies for tax-related matters and inquiries.
• Calculate and raise manual payments as necessary
• Address and resolve any payroll-related issues or discrepanciesRequired Skills and Experience:
• Experience in payroll administration with a demonstrated track record of managing payroll processes and systems
• Knowledge of payroll processes, regulations, and compliance requirements
• Proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationshipsBenefits/Package:
