Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 per annum

Grounds Caretaker - ESTATES Offering up to £25,000 per annum Located in Braintree, Essex 12 Week Contract Onsite 8am - 4pm Key Responsibilities

  • To work alongside colleagues to keep our estates and communal areas clear of hazards, obstructions and mess and manage workload so that jobs of an urgent nature are completed within target.
  • To be mindful of any risks associated with customers in line with Customer Safety and safeguarding and report any concerns to the Senior Estate Ranger
  • To ensure that customers receive a courteous and professional Ranger service
  • Daily removal of fly tips and rubbish or arrange for removal in instances when you are unable to do this yourself.
  • Help monitor estates and deal with issues as appropriate - this may involve highlighting problems or undertake necessary action to make safe/rectify as required.
  • Help enforce clear corridor policy by removing items from communal areas in line with our Estates Policy.
  • Grounds maintenance tasks in gardens and on estates.
  • Gather information where required anti-social behaviour and present this information, this may include Court action.
  • Identify and undertake / arrange rectification of potential hazards which require remedial action to make safe.
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with tenants and residents to build positive relationships.
  • Undertake duties and activities as directed by the Senior Estate Ranger and Estate Safety Managers
  • Carry out additional training as and when required.
  • Have a flexible approach to work including working occasional evenings and weekends.

Requirements

  • Experience of working with the public and dealing with sensitive issues.
  • Experience of carrying out manual tasks including basic DIY and gardening.
  • Willingness to use smart phone or handheld device to complete work.
  • Experience of delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety, understanding of building maintenance, awareness of personal safety.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Awareness of Microsoft software including Outlook.
  • A full current UK driving licence
