Avencia consulting is partnered with a leading specialty insurer who are looking to recruit an Operations Technician on a fixed-term contract basis in their London office.
The role
* Manage the receipt, proof reading/formatting, and distribution of risk survey reports from engineers. Manage feedback of comments from clients in relation to these reports and issue final versions.
* Maintain an overview of engineers' travel, expenses and travel costs, liaising with accounts team.
* Assist with underwriting systems as necessary.
* Plays a key role in facilitating and managing relationships with clients.
Key accountabilities
* Arrange travel for engineers' site visits as required.
* Maintain an overview of the engineers' expenses and travel costs and allocate as required between client accounts.
* Proof read and format reports to ensure professional and consistent quality
* Manage the timely receipt of reports from engineers (i.e. manage overdue reports) and liaise with clients on outstanding reports
* Manage feedback on reports to ensure report accuracy
* Assist with underwriting systems as required.
Skills & experience
* Previous experience arranging international travel for a team.
* Administration experience, and the ability to maintain focus while reviewing documents.
* Experience with Microsoft suite.
* Communication - Good written and verbal communication skills (Including IT) as the role requires direct interface with overseas engineers and clients on a daily basis. A confident and assertive approach is also required.
* The ideal candidate will be a highly self-motivated individual who enjoys working in a small but vibrant team.
* Able to use own initiative and available tools to achieve departmental targets and objectives.
* To be flexible, a self-starter, with the ability and confidence to work independently
* Able to work with immediate team members as well as wider teams within the business
