Henlee Resourcing is collaborating with a well-known and highly successful retail business to recruit a Learning & Development Consultant on a permanent basis.

We seek an individual to support the Learning & Development team in defining and delivering continuous training solutions, aimed at developing both new and existing retail employees and managers, while ensuring consistent customer excellence.

Reporting to the Learning & Development Manager, this role will concentrate on the design, development, and delivery of various training initiatives, offering ongoing training to retail team members and management, in areas such as performance improvement, career development, and succession planning.

Specifically, the role will involve:

  • Identifying development gaps and opportunities based on business needs.
  • Owning and implementing end-to-end development support plans.
  • Informing and managing stakeholders on planned support and learner progress.
  • Coaching management to enhance leadership and management skills.
  • Analysing store data and KPIs to identify areas for improvement.
  • Supporting managers in delivering a robust induction and onboarding process.
  • Assisting in the delivery of effective performance reviews, 1-1s, and PDPs.
  • Designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating quality blended learning content and resources.
  • Supporting other projects as directed.

Applicants must have a proven track record of the above responsibilities, gained within a retail environment.

You will be a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects, possessing a positive approach that inspires learners to engage. You should be empathetic when managing expectations, personable, and articulate, with excellent communication skills. You will also need to keep stakeholders informed and involved in decisions and outcomes.

Flexibility to travel, with regular overnight stays, is essential. This role will cover a large geographic area, consisting of 30+ stores and requiring an average of two days' travel, with overnight stays most weeks. When not travelling, the role will be home-based.

If you are looking for a fast-paced role within a successful retail organisation and are a performance training expert, we are eager to hear from you.
