The Opportunity:

Are you an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative? Our client is seeking dedicated mobile Grounds Maintenance Operative to maintain several high-end commercial sites. As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you'll play a key role crucial role in ensuring that our clients landscaping projects and contracts are maintained to the highest of standards.

As a Grounds Maintenance Operative your responsibilities will include the following:

We are seeking a passionate and reliable Mobile Grounds Maintenance Operative with a track record in Grounds Maintenance and Horticulture to join our client's team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in overseeing landscaping projects that involve the maintenance of grass, shrubs, plants and other features as well as managing irrigation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

* Regularly mowing lawns and trimming edges to maintain a neat appearance.

* Applying fertilizers and aerating the soil to promote healthy grass growth.

* Removing weeds manually or using herbicides to ensure a tidy lawn.

* Pruning shrubs, trees, and plants to encourage healthy growth and maintain desired shapes.

* Planting flowers, trees, and shrubs according to landscape plans.

* Ensuring all plants and trees receive adequate water, either manually or through automated irrigation systems.

* Identifying and treating plant diseases and pests using environmentally safe methods.

* Regularly weeding flower beds and applying mulch to retain soil moisture and reduce weed growth.

* Installing seasonal plants and flowers, including bulbs and annuals, to maintain year-round visual appeal.

* Removing spent flowers to encourage new growth and maintain the aesthetics of flower beds.

We are looking for a Grounds Maintenance Operative who has the following skills and qualifications:

* Full UK Driver's License is essential

* Minimum 2 years' experience as a Grounds Maintenance Operative

* Strong communication and writing skills

* NVQ in Horticulture is preferred

* Very strong plant knowledge

* PA1&PA6 Spraying Licenses is preferred

* Knowledge of irrigation systems is preferred
