Central is currently recruiting for a Support Lead, to work in the Wandsworth area. The service provides floating support to users with high need mental health issues to support services users to live independently.

The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working across Monday - Friday, 9AM - 5PM. Temporary cover is required for approximately 1-2 months. The pay rate for this role is £14.23 per hour, with £2.21 holiday pay, totalling £16.44 per hour.

Please note; this is a hybrid working role. You'll be required to work from the Wellbeing Hub in Tooting with some flexibility to work from home.

In this position, you will be expected to;

* Support the Community Lead Manager for Support & Housing to lead and motivate the team to create and sustain a positive culture within the service

* Support the Community Lead Manager to manage the team through innovation and still deliver high quality effective services

* Deliver effective supervision, appraisals and team meetings (virtually) and be responsible for the development of staff, ensuring appropriate training, mentoring or shadowing is provided

* Ensure all key performance indicators in the contracts are met and recorded correctly

* Support the Community Lead Manager in the administration and general management of referrals to the service and arrange for assessments to be completed (in person at the service or service users accommodation across Wandsworth)

* Provide 'hands-on' support to Support Workers when complex support issues arise or breaches of tenancy occur and support the Service Manager in the management of any major incident that might arise

* Work directly with a caseload of up to 10 service users, delivering support to enable independence and mental health recovery, as well as supervise 6 members of staff

* Carry out and evidence regular assessments of support needs; drawing up, implementing, monitoring and reviewing support plans, including risk assessment and outcomes monitoring

* Work within a recovery and person centred approach

* Ensure service users are supported to better understand their responsibilities and manage their tenancies, ensuring tenancy and license conditions are adhered to

* Maintain regular and constructive relationships with external providers and partners to provide a holistic, wrap around service

To apply for this role, you must have;

* Experience of staff management/supervision including carrying out staff supervisions remotely

* At least two years' experience working within a visiting support, supported housing team and/or a floating support team

* Experience working directly with people with mental health needs or those in a mental health service including experience of working in a recovery-based service

* Experience of multi-agency working with health service, social service, landlords and other service providers

* Experience of reporting outcomes for service delivery

* Experience of dealing with ASB and tenant disputes

* Working knowledge and experience of housing, health and welfare benefit systems

* Working knowledge of support planning, implementation and mental health recovery approaches

* Knowledge of the allocation, move on and resettlement process

* Strong communication skills to work effectively with people with mental health needs

* Strong experience of using computer programmes and databases, including all Microsoft Office programmes and packages

Further requirements:

In order to register with Central Recruitment Services for temporary agency work, candidates must meet the following criteria:

* Current valid right to work in the UK

* Minimum 12 months' of paid experience in a front line social care role within the last 3 years* (unless recruitment criteria states otherwise)

* A fully enhanced DBS registered on the DBS update service or willingness to apply for one through Central (at a cost of £60)

* Employment or education history to cover the last 5 years which can be verified through the referencing process
