Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant/Behaviour Support Assistant to join a fantastic school in SO16. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and/or challenging behaviours, helping them to achieve their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant/Behaviour Support Assistant, you will:

Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN and/or challenging behaviours.
Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Support students in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour.
Assist with classroom activities, including lesson preparation and resource management.
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times.About you:

Strong understanding of SEN and behaviour management strategies.

Essential & Desirable Qualifications/ requirements:

Previous experience working with children with SEN and/or challenging behaviours.
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:

Hold right to work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide references upon request
Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
