AppDynamic Engineer

6 month initial contract

Remote working - UK Based

Purview are currently recruiting for an AppDynamic Engineer to work with our Tier 1 banking client on an initial 6 month contract. You will have solid experience with the installation and the configuration of the AppDynamics agents.

Key skills:

* Able to collaborate with clients to understand their application environments, business goals and performance needs based on use cases

* Analyze performance data collected by AppD to identify bottlenecks, perform root cause analysis on outages and proactively alert for potential problems

* Develop custom queries and metrics to enhance visibility into key problem areas

* Experience installing, configuring, and administering AppD controller and agents with different environments (windows, linux etc)

* Experience monitoring large scale applications (tomcat, websphere, etc)

* Experience in creating custom dashboards to track important business transactions and provide app performance insights.

* Experience setting up application baselines, transaction thresholds, snapshot collection.

* Experience creating Health Rules, Policies, Alerts and Actions

* Experience with End User Monitoring, Real User Monitoring, Analytics, Infrastructure, Database (Mongo, Oracle, SQL) and Network visibility

* Ability to troubleshoot slow database calls using transaction snapshots and diagnostic sessions during incidents

* Experience in gathering and measuring end-to-end business transaction performance

* Experience with integrating with other observability products such as 1000 eyes, DataDog, Splunk would be a plus
