Learning Support Assistant - Secondary School, Greenwich

Are you passionate about supporting young people in their learning journey? Do you have a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of students? We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a Secondary School in Greenwich.

Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time, long-term (until the end of the academic year)
Salary: Dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to students in both one-to-one and group settings
Assist students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to engage with the curriculum and school life
Work closely with teaching staff to deliver targeted learning interventions and differentiated lessons
Support the emotional, social, and academic development of students
Promote independence and positive behaviour within the classroom
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and specialists to ensure the best outcomes for studentsRequirements:

Previous experience working with children in a school or similar setting is essential
A DBS on the update service is required
Experience or understanding of SEND is desired (strongly encouraged to apply even if not extensive)
Excellent communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude
