Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Safe Operation of Dustcarts:
Drive and operate dustcarts safely and efficiently across various routes within the Thurrock area, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations. Ensure the vehicle is operated in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Loading Duties:
Actively participate in the loading of waste materials onto the dustcart. Work collaboratively with the team to ensure all waste is collected promptly and handled with care.

Route Management:
Navigate and plan routes effectively to avoid delays and ensure the prompt collection of waste. Report any route discrepancies or changes to the team leader.

Vehicle Maintenance Checks:
Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition. Report any maintenance issues or discrepancies to the maintenance team immediately.

Documentation:
Accurately complete all required paperwork associated with each shift, including timesheets, collection notes, and incident reports. Maintain clear and concise records to support seamless operations.

Customer Interaction:
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with the public. Address any inquiries or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.

Adherence to Safety Protocols:
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Ideal Candidate:

Experience:
Previous experience as a Dustcart Driver/Loader is essential. Familiarity with the Thurrock area is a plus.

Hold a valid UK driving licence with no major endorsements.
