Overview:

We’re looking for a skilled and organised Technical Maintenance Supervisor to take charge of maintenance operations at a high-profile commercial office site in the City of London. This is a predominantly off-the-tools role, focused on team management, compliance, and client interaction - though a hands-on approach may occasionally be required during busy periods or in support of the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and support a team of 3 on-site engineers, overseeing daily operations and performance.

  • Allocate and manage Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs) and reactive tasks, ensuring efficient and timely completion.

  • Ensure all compliance and statutory documentation is kept up to date and readily accessible.

  • Prepare, review, and issue Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS) and Permits to Work.

  • Act as the primary contact for the on-site client, maintaining a professional and responsive presence.

  • Oversee contractor activities and ensure all works adhere to health & safety procedures.

  • Step in to assist with technical or urgent works when required, maintaining flexibility and team support.

  • Maintain site records and use the CAFM system for job tracking and reporting.

Requirements:
  • Qualified in a relevant engineering discipline (electrical or mechanical preferred).

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or senior engineering role within commercial FM or building services.

  • Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, health & safety, and safe systems of work.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.

  • Comfortable being off the tools while remaining hands-on when necessary.

  • Competent in using CAFM systems and Microsoft Office tools.
