 Group VAT Accountant key responsibilities:

• Preparation of the UK quarterly VAT returns for the UK VAT groups
• Extracting and verifying data from various systems and analysing transactions by applying the UK VAT rules
• Performing transactional reviews following internal SOPs and HMRC VAT compliance guidance
• Supporting the UK Tax team with international VAT compliance preparation and review
• Contribution to the ongoing process improvement and systems refinement

Required Skills & Experience:

• Qualified or latter stages Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CTA)
• Strong knowledge and understanding of UK VAT legislation
• Experience of working within a group setting
• Be a strong user of MS Excel – Alpha VAT is desirable but not essential
• Experience of dealing with and understanding international VAT is beneficial
